Lieve de Putter - ECHOES

ECHOES is a powerful one-woman-show about the silencing, distortion, and reclamation of the female voice. Blending Greek mythology with personal storytelling, the show follows an actress wrestling with her ironic fear of her own voice. Guided by the voices of women from the past, she embarks on a journey to reclaim not only her own voice, but also those that have been suppressed, rewritten, or erased through centuries of male scholarship. With original translations, soundscapes, and voice overs, ECHOES reveals how the female experience echoes through time. A sharp, moving, and often unexpectedly funny exploration of who gets to speak, who is heard, and who has the power to tell the story.
