Liana Flores keert terug met And so it goes…, een nieuwe EP waarin haar Brits-Braziliaanse achtergrond en verfijnde songwriting samenkomen. Sinds haar debuutalbum Flower of the soul is de singer-songwriter een van de fakkeldragers van de bossa nova revival. De inspiratie voor de EP kwam van haar verhuizing van het landelijke Norfolk naar St. Andrews en later Londen. De persoonlijke ontwikkeling die ze doormaakte is te horen op And so it goes…, met ingetogen gitaar, zachte bossa-vocalen, folkachtige vertelvormen, funkaccenten en lichte popmelodieën elkaar afwisselen. Liana vertelt: “These songs were informed by my experiences living in the city and touring for the first time. I grew up and studied in small towns with nature in my surroundings, so that’s what came naturally in terms of lyrics. With So it goes, the lyrics are more centred on human connection, and I wanted to explore a part of my identity that’s more playful and matter-of-fact.
