RASA: Fado & Kathak - Casa de Fado & Art Uncurated

RASA is a unique cross-cultural performance that brings together the emotional richness of Kathak, the classical dance tradition of North India, and Fado, Portugal’s deeply expressive musical genre. Inspired by the ancient Indian aesthetic philosophy of Rasa, the performance explores how art evokes profound emotions and creates meaningful connections among audiences. Through expressive storytelling, graceful movement, rhythmic footwork, and abhinaya, Kathak gives these emotions form, while Fado conveys them through voice, poetry, and the soulful spirit of saudade, a longing for what has been lost. Co-produced by Casa De Fado and Art Uncurated, this artistic collaboration celebrates the universal language of emotion.
